PLUTO

now Christmas is coming and we're all (or almost ...) employed to decorate trees and nativity scenes, to wrap gifts and to organize a trip. So, in the middle atmosphere of gifts and surprises, I have one here ready for you here is the 15 th Dogs who joins our fleet!

His name is PLUTO , hull number 117, 1980, is moored in Marina di Ravenna and its owner is Gianluca Friends, Shipwrights!

Gianluca is an owner a little bit special because you know that with his father, a skilled carpenter, created the interiors of all the ... Hounds Classis included! Just imagine how many changes this to Gianni has made to his boat.

started visiting Pluto starting, as always, from the outside. The
Tredmaster, where is the original, it looks really in good condition.

A stern look at the presence of spoiler with bimini and beach wooden ladder and central bathroom.
Also see the benches at the stern and the "bottom" of cockpit teak .... with a difference: in the area between the engine and the axis of the rudder, which is normally empty, Gianluca has created a comfortable and original locker rack that can be taken off as a basket.

Gianluca Also the cockpit has created a beautiful table and brings an unusual bottles or glasses to be attached to the transom.

And speaking of made of wood, look at the beautiful and functional bow ladder that can overturn the stay while on the pulpit is a tablet that can serve as a comfortable seat or step .

Before going below deck to look around, take a look at Volvo Penta 24 hp (with the cooling system modified with the addition of a heat exchanger) and practical solution that Luke taken to place the anchor windlass.

finally go down below deck where the surprises are certainly not lacking.

We note immediately down the steps of teak, the new cabinet, and encased in wood fires under a convenient drawer for extra

course the plotting area could not remain free from change and in fact reduced the table catches your eye with a smooth curve to allow for easier access to the berth of the navigator.
A side we see the shelves Instruments holder (with VHF radio and CD) and a chamber door objects.
Above left we see a tool that could be covered with a combined GPS chart plotter / echo sounder.

So far the changes Lucas has made to Pluto and details are different but the most striking is undoubtedly the removal of the door separating the toilet from the cabin and the large relative change in the bulkhead with two sturdy handrails.

This is certainly a very radical choice and some may be questionable, but Luke apparently not very fond of the doors and in this so he wanted to realize his personal bathroom in the cabin.

And the toilet, as you can see from the picture, has not been exempt from changes. Unfortunately, Luke did not send photos of the basin area and this makes me assume that this has not changed ... but .... you think it possible?

conclude the visit of Pluto by the knowledge of other family members and friends: the kind lady peeping out from the hatch and the young sailor, in a moment of relaxation from the labors of the board, which sways quietly forward on ' hammock made us swear, by our Luke!

What to say? Pluto is indeed full of surprises and Hound the other boat owners and friends will certainly appreciate the many ideas that has given us.

My compliments, Gianluca well and landed in our virtual port! : O)
