Amarcord ... TAF

Dear Friends, I wish to share with you this beautiful letter that I sent a few days ago my friend Tino di Ravenna.
Tino was the first developer and owner of TAF, which now belongs to the Hound Nicola Wallis.

confess that for me to receive this letter was a great joy. Knowing that this modest blog has allowed, on the one hand, Tino find, after so many years, his beloved boat and the other with Nicola can learn many interesting tidbits about the birth and early years of his life TAF is a great satisfaction to my humble work.
Tino At my request, kindly sent me some pictures of TAF as it was when it was launched in 1979 by Cantieri Classis, here they are:

In una delle foto vediamo anche Tino, orgoglioso giovane armatore, che oggi ha qualche anno di più e molti capelli in meno ma vi posso assicurare che lo spirito è ancora quello di un ragazzo:

"... even at my age, I like to joke, be cheerful, ironic and mocking. Many of my friends have become serious, are now old and do not realize , do not realize that life should be lived with joy and always with a smile on his lips ... "

A stration of this, here is a nice "little saint" that our friend has kindly dedicated ... : O)

Dear Tino, thank you very much for your contribution to our Blogs give you a warm welcome among us.

If, as you'd like, come back soon to rig a sail ... Good Wind!

JEREMY JONES

First, I feel obliged to apologize to all my friends for Dogs hiding from the Blog and Forum, lately I've been very busy on many fronts, and not professional. .. : O)

willingly return to writing on these pages for the pleasure of welcoming in our virtual port JEREMY JONES , Classis Dogs No. 90 of 1980, moored at Anzio (RM), owned by Massimo Meloni fierce image of what we see in operation.

photos from Massimo left, we see that Jeremy Tredmaster is still with the original that appears in good condition. The benches are covered in wood cockpit and stern we see a convenient platform. Jeremy Jones mount the engine by 18 hp Volvo Penta.

Rizzato guardrail on the left is observed while the pole is visible at the base of a winch with a yellow top that is certainly a Cunningham.

down below deck we can see the kitchen has a kitchen with stainless steel garage door and front door of the fridge.

The cushions of the square is lined with a new fabric tiles; the wood (teak?) Seem really in excellent condition.

And we are the corner reserved for the chart table and instrument panel.

In the upper left right we see the VHF , a log and a fascinating ECO Seafarer 700, son of the technology of 70-80 years, which seems to work again. At the bottom, always from the left, we see a modern Garmin GPS antenna with built-in GPS and another "older."
on the table, a card with the unmistakable silhouette of the island.

Massimo Welcome among us and many compliments for your Jeremy! : O)
